It is hard to say anything about this show and have it be both meaningful and understood. As best we can gather, the OperaFeHk community agitates to infect the complacence of orchestral chamber music with an ounce of aggressive avant-garde surrealism, employing shock, costume, and cognitive dissonance. In short, musical terrorism in line with our own murderous tendencies. This manifestation of the series runs two nights — we’re playing on the second, at One Thousand Rivers (54 E. 4th Ave.)
